I know what you’re thinking. This isn’t skincare. This isn’t korean. But I’m growing as a person, as a blogger! I will likely be doing more makeup posts in the future, but don’t worry I still have many skincare reviews to share with you guys. Plus, this sampler set is so cute!

I would say this is a pretty fair price. It’s a decent deal considering the original prices of the products.
Let’s start with my least favorite, which is unfortunately the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick. For me, this is a very subjective choice because the shade looked terrible on me. I looked like an eight year old who stole her mom’s make up. To prove my point further, it was gorgeous on my mom.The formula was very creamy and had a pretty natural finish (like every lipstick in this set). Just not for me.
The next lipstick on the chopping block is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lipstick. Again, the shade was my gripe, just a little too dark. The formula was a little bit creamier than the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick which was pretty interesting (and nice).
This one was pretty surprising. I actually really liked the Bite Beauty Lipstick. It was much more nude than “fall themed” which I was honestly, really thankful for. It was creamy, smelled deliciously minty/vanilla-y, and was really pretty. The only problem I have with this one is the quality of the packaging. I understand that Bite is a little more budget compared to the rest of the brands but the actual lipstick was not firmly implanted in the container so after applying, the stick would bend to hit the sides of the container, leaving a little mess. That was pretty disappointing.
My second favorite is pretty closely tied with the Bite Beauty lippie, but the Laura Mercier lipstick was gorgeous. Unlike the Bite lipstick, the quality of the packaging was perfect, the shade itself was SO pigmented and smooth. It was super transferable, but I’m not surprised.
My favorite in this kit has GOT to be the Tarte lip balm. It doesn’t leave any color on the lips (my lips are pretty pigmented), but the glossy look is one of my favorites, and this one nailed it. It smells divine, and the cooling feeling goes perfectly with the minty scent. It moisturizes super well, and I really love it. I have seen some people complaining online about the cardboard packaging, but I’m wondering if it’s because of the Sea theme. I would like to believe that it’s part of the save the turtles movement, and I love it.
Pros and Cons:
- You get to try the formulas of the Sephora Favorites
- Find shades/brands that you like from a moderate range
- Decent deal
- None really!
Who Should Use:
I would say this is a great starter kit for a beginner (from a beginner herself). I’ve gotten a little more of a feel for which brands I like, what shades go well with my complexion, and what textures I like. I got this as a gift, and it made me feel so special I would definitely recommend giving this to someone you love.
I really enjoy this set!
